GUIDANCE COUNSELLOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide individual and group counselling to students on academic, career, and personal matters. Assess students’ interests, abilities, strengths, and career aspirations. Guide students in making informed decisions about education, careers, and future opportunities. Develop and implement career guidance and counselling programmes. Assist students with subject selection, career pathways, and educational planning. Support students experiencing academic, social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. Maintain confidential and accurate records of counselling sessions and student progress. Identify students who may require additional support and make appropriate referrals when necessary. Organize career talks, workshops, seminars, and mentorship programmes. Provide information on scholarships, vocational training, tertiary education, and employment opportunities. Work closely with teachers, parents, school management, and relevant professionals to support students’ development.
