HEAD TEACHER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide overall academic and administrative leadership for the school. Develop and implement the school’s academic goals, policies, and improvement plans. Supervise and coordinate the activities of teaching and non-teaching staff. Monitor lesson delivery, teaching standards, and students’ academic performance. Review lesson plans, schemes of work, assessment records, and other academic documents. Ensure effective classroom management and maintain high standards of discipline. Monitor students’ welfare, safety, behaviour, and overall development. Coordinate examinations, assessments, academic programmes, and school activities. Conduct staff meetings, performance reviews, and professional development programmes. Support and mentor teachers to improve their teaching skills and effectiveness. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding students’ progress and welfare. Maintain positive relationships with parents, the community, and other stakeholders. Oversee the effective use and maintenance of school facilities, equipment, and learning resources.
