HOSTEL MASTER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise and oversee the daily activities and welfare of students residing in the school hostel. Maintain discipline, order, and a safe environment within the hostel. Enforce hostel rules, regulations, and school policies. Monitor students’ attendance, movements, and compliance with hostel routines. Conduct regular inspections of rooms, facilities, and common areas. Ensure students maintain proper hygiene, cleanliness, and personal grooming. Supervise meal times, study periods, bedtimes, and other hostel activities. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to students. Monitor students’ academic progress and encourage good study habits. Identify and report behavioural, health, safety, or welfare concerns to school management. Respond appropriately to emergencies and ensure students receive necessary assistance. Maintain accurate records of hostel attendance, incidents, visitors, and student activities. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding significant student welfare or behavioural issues.
