HOSTEL MISTRESS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise the overall welfare, safety, and well-being of female students residing in the hostel. Maintain discipline and enforce hostel rules, regulations, and school policies. Monitor students’ attendance, movements, and daily routines. Supervise study periods, meal times, bedtimes, and other hostel activities. Ensure proper personal hygiene, cleanliness, and orderliness within the hostel. Provide guidance, mentorship, and emotional support to students. Monitor students’ academic, social, and behavioural progress. Conduct regular inspections of hostel rooms, bathrooms, and common areas. Identify and report health, safety, behavioural, or welfare concerns to school management. Respond promptly to emergencies and ensure students receive appropriate assistance. Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, visitors, and hostel activities. Communicate with parents or guardians regarding significant student welfare or behavioural concerns. Coordinate with teachers, school management, security personnel, nurses, and other hostel staff.
