About this programme

Subsidised software engineering programme cutting training costs by 75% with zero-interest financing into high-demand tech careers.

The Enugu SME/AltSchool Training Program is a six-month hybrid initiative launched by the Enugu State Government through the Enugu SME Center, in collaboration with Backend Web Development, enhancing their employability within the tech industry. The curriculum covers core technologies such as HTML5, CSS, ReactS, NodeJS, and MongoDB, and emphasizes foundational concepts including API integration, system design, and secure coding practices. Training is delivered through a hybrid model, combining physical sessions at Amadeo Event Center with virtual learning via platforms like Slack for an engaging, immersive experience. To improve accessibility, the program offers a 75% subsidizec training fee, reducing the total cost from #400,000 to #100,000. Participants may also access the Enugu Humar Capital Development Loan, a zero-interest facility that covers the full cost, with a flexible repayment plan of 7,083.33 monthly over 12 months. Graduates of the program have successfully transitioned into roles as Frontend and Backend Engineers, contributing significantly to the development of Enugu's emerging tech ecosystem.
