About this programme

Grants of ₦70k–₦150k to 12,000+ nanoenterprises and up to ₦400k to 500+ MSMEs; distributed 500 laptops, 500 phones, 100 Wi-Fi devices; BVN/NIN for 40,000+.

Enugu State MSME and Nanoenterprise Support Program, The NG-CARES Program is a World Bank-funded initiative designed to provide financial assistance and digital support to nancenterprises and MMES In Enugu state under Result Under Result Area 3.2 and 3.3.

Under Result Area 3.2, Enugu State has disbursed:

• A70,000 operational grants to over 2,000 nanoenterprises, including traders and artisans across various LGA clusters. • N60,000 operational grants to over 10,000 nanoenterprises across all market clusters in every local government in the State, enhancing grassroots economic resilience. 400,000 business support grants to over 500 MSMEs to meet working capital and operational needs. Under Result Area 3.3, the state distributed: • Over 500 laptops, 500 smartphones, and 100 Enugu SME Wi-Fi devices to MSME beneficiaries to promote digital access and business continuity. Partnered with NIN registration agents and commercial banks to enroll 40,000 nanoenterprises for BVN cind NIN registration, deepening financial inclusion and formal economic participation. • This comprehensive intervention is expanding access to funding, equipping entrepreneurs with digital tools, and improving the long-term viability of small businesses across Enugu State.
