The Presidential Conditional Grant Programme is a collaborative initiative between the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investments, the Bank of Industry (Bol), and the Enugu State Government through the Enugu SME Center. Designed to mitigate the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the program provides #50,000 non-repayable operational support grants to nano-enterprises in Enugu State. Over 28,000 nano-enterprises were registered, and 18,244 verified beneficiaries across all 17 LGAs (an average of 1,072 per LGA) received the grant. This intervention not only supports business continuity but aiso stimulates local economies, strengthens financial inclusion, and fosters economic resilience at the grassroots level. Impact on delivery of His Excellency's Promises This initiative aligns with the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah's strategic goal of eradicating poverty and achieving zero percent hunger in Enugu State by 2031. By empowering thousands of nano-enterprises through financial support and integrating them into formall economic structures, the program accelerates inclusive economic growth and supports His Excellency's broader agenda of driving agricultural, skills, and tech-driven development across the state.
