Enugu SME–NIGCOMSAT VSAT Training

The Enugu VSAT Training Program, delivered in partner si with the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT), was a 7-day hands-on technical capacity-building initiative coordinated by the Enugu SME Center / Office of Digital Economy & MSMES. Held in November 2025 within Enugu Metropolis, the program trained and certified 300 youth across Enugu State, equipping them with in-demand skills in:

•VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) installation and configuration • Field diagnostics, alignment, and satellite sianal troubleshooting •Real-world application of broadband systems in telecoms, education, and rural connectivity

Participants graduated with NIGCOMSAT-endorsed certifications and professional-grade toolkits, enabling immediate entry into Nigeria's growing digital infrastructure sector - either as skilled employees, contractors, or entrepreneurs.

This program was designed with intentional inclusion, ensuring meaningful participation of young women and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) as part of Enugu's commitment to equitable digital development.

It aligns with the digital transformation vision of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Nubuisi Mbah, and supports national objectives around broadband expansion, youth skilling, and inclusive access to economic opportunity.
