The Transforming Nigeria Youth Program (TY-Enugu) is a targeted entrepreneurship development initiative focused on empowering women-led nano and micro-enterprises with the skills, tools, and financial support needed to scale sustainably.
Delivered in partnership with the MasterCard Foundation and the Enterprise Development Center (EDC-PAU), the program offers a blended learning experience (80% online, 20% in-person) across key areas such as business management, financial literacy, digital marketing, and product innovation.
Key Achievements include: 5,000+ women entrepreneurs trained across sectors including agriculture, fashion, technology, and retail.
2,000+ women entrepreneurs received growth grants from the Enugu State Government.
65% reported revenue increases after applying new business strategies.
40% expanded their businesses and hired new staff.
75% adopted digital tools for business operations and management.
85% achieved long-term sustainability, reHecting business viability and resilience.
The program promotes economic inclusion, digital transformation, and financial access for women entrepreneurs across Enugu State, fostering a more equitable and robust MSME ecosystem.
