Practical training for 500+ youths in Electrical Installation, Plumbing, Painting, and related technical trades.
The Enugu SME TVET Training Program has successfully trained over 500 Ndi Enugu youths across its three editions, equipping them with practical skills in electrical installation, plumbing installation, and maintenance and painting. Each phase of the program, implemented by the Enugu
SME Center in partnership with COPEN Group, ITF, NECA, and C-STEMP Skills Training Centre, has provided hands-on training, industry exposure, and job-readiness support, empowering participants for sustainable careers in the skilled trades.

What is the Enugu SME TVET Training Program?

What is the duration of the training program?
The program lasts for 4 months.

Who can apply for this program?
The program is open to both new entrants and individuals who need to up skill in these trades.
Is this program aimed at any specific group?
While the program is open to all eligible candidates, it specifically aims to increase female participation in these trades.
How is the training structured?
Trainings are physical at Copen Academy located at No. 1 Ebeano Tunnel Crossing, Along Ebeano Tunnel Road, Ogui Rd, inside Amadeo Event Center, behind Oakland Hotels, Enugu 400102, Enugu. Selected Students are expected to reportfor work three (3) times in a week.

Application will close by July 31st 2026
Is there a specific day of the week for the classes?
Yes,the classroominstruction and fieldwork dayswill be scheduled eachweek. Exact dayswill be communicated to the trainees upon enrollment.
What should trainees expect from the field work?
Field work will provide hands-on experience under the supervision of skilled professionals, allowing trainees to apply what they learn in the classroom in real-world settings.
Will there be any assessments or evaluations?
Yes, trainees will be assessed periodically to monitor their progress and ensure they are meeting the learning objectives of the program.
Is the training free, and are there any conditions for participation?
Yes, selected candidates will participate free of charge. However, to ensure commitment and seriousness, all selected participants will be required to sign a formal agreement and provide a guarantor. The guarantor will serve as an assurance of the trainee’s dedication to attending classes consistently and completing the programme. Failure to meet attendance and participation obligations without valid justification will attract significant financial penalties, as outlined in the signed agreement.
Is there any certification provided at the end ofthe program?
Yes. Trainees who successfully complete the programme will receive a certification recognizing their skills and training in the respective training areas, including Plumbing, Painting, and Electrical/Solar Installation
