The EGTTA programme runs for 4 months (16 weeks) and provides intensive practical training through technical workshops, field simulations, real-life installations, diagnostics, capstone projects, and certification. Participants receive training from industry experts and gain access to employment opportunities, business support, and entrepreneurship pathways after graduation. The programme focuses on developing professionals who can earn sustainable incomes in fast-growing technology and engineering sectors.

The Enugu Green Tech Talent Accelerator (EGTTA) is a flagship human capital development programme designed to train, finance, and deploy a new generation of skilled technical professionals across Enugu State. The programme focuses on high-growth, future-facing sectors including: Solar Energy Systems Electric Vehicle (EV) Engineering & Diagnostics Electronics Design & Hardware Systems Computer Engineering & Retrofitting Robotics, Automation & IoT It is structured as a Talent-to-Income Pipeline, enabling participants to transition directly from training into employment, freelancing, or entrepreneuship.

WHY IS THIS PROGRAM IMPORTANT?

This programme addresses three critical economic priorities: Job Creation at Scale Closing Technical Skill Gaps Driving Industrial & Energy Transition Participants are equipped to: Begin earning within 30–60 days after completion Recover their training investment within 1–3 months Build sustainable income streams in high-demand sectors

HOW IS THE EGTTA PROGRAM STRUCTURED?

The programme runs for four (4) months (16 weeks) and includes: Intensive hands-on technical training Real-life installations, diagnostics, and system builds Field-based learning and simulations Capstone project and deployment Certification and transition support Attendance is mandatory and a condition for successful completion

Training will be delivered across: Designated Technical Training Centres Innovation and Skills Hubs Partner facilities across Enugu State Participants will be assigned to centres based on capacity and proximity

WHAT IS THE COST OF THE PROGRAM?

The programme is heavily subsidized by the Enugu State Government and its partners. Participants are receiving up to 60%–75% subsidy, making world-class technical training significantly more accessible. Electric Vehicle (EV) Engineering & Diagnostics: ₦150,000 Robotics, Automation & IoT: ₦120,000 Solar, Electronics & Computer Engineering: ₦100,000

The subsidy is a deliberate and strategic investment by the Enugu State Government to accelerate economic transformation through human capital development. It is designed to: Accelerate Job Creation: Rapidly equip thousands of young people with income-generating technical skills across high-demand sectors. Build a Future-Ready Workforce: Develop a pipeline of skilled technicians aligned with emerging industries such as renewable energy, electric mobility, and automation. Enable Inclusive Economic Participation: Ensure that financial constraints do not prevent capable individuals from accessing high-quality training and economic opportunities. Catalyze MSME Growth: Empower participants to transition into service providers, contractors, and entrepreneurs within the local economy. This is not a cost, it is a high-impact economic investment with measurable returns in productivity, employment, and GDP growth.

IS THERE A FINANCING OPTION AVAILABLE?

Yes. To ensure maximum accessibility and inclusion, participants can access a: Zero-Interest Human Capital Development Loan (HCDL) This financing model allows qualified participants to: Enroll immediately Pay a reduced upfront cost Complete the balance after commencement The HCDL reflects the Government’s approach of treating skills as an investable asset rather than a cost burden.

HOW DOES THE PAYMENT STRUCTURE WORK?

Participants can choose between two flexible options: Option A: Full Payment 100% of the programme fee paid upfront No guarantor required Option B: HCDL 65% paid upfront 35% deferred as a zero-interest loan The deferred balance becomes payable: After the first one (1) month of training This ensures participants can begin learning and gaining confidence before completing payment obligations.

WHY IS THE PAYMENT STRUCTURED THIS WAY?

The programme adopts a “Pay-Small-Now, Earn-Later” model, which is globally recognized as an effective human capital financing approach. This structure is designed to: Reduce Financial Barriers: Lower the entry threshold for participation. Ensure Commitment (“Skin in the Game”): Participants who invest upfront are more likely to complete the programme successfully. Enable Immediate Participation: Individuals do not need to delay skill acquisition due to financial limitations. Support Programme Sustainability: The model ensures continuous funding cycles to support future cohorts. It strikes a balanced model between accessibility, accountability, and scalability.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO ACCESS THE HCDL?

Participant Requirements One (1) valid government-issued identification (NIN, Driver’s License, Voter’s Card, or Passport) Passport photographs Completed application and enrollment documentation Guarantor Requirements Participants must provide one credible guarantor who meets the following: Valid government-issued ID Six (6) months bank account statement Undated cheque covering 35% of the programme fee Must be physically verifiable by the Agency The guarantor may be: A private sector professional or entrepreneur A civil/public servant A financially credible individual

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DEFAULT?

Failure to: Attend training consistently Complete payment obligations Fulfill programme requirements Will be treated as a default under the programme terms. In such cases: Structured recovery and engagement processes will be initiated The guarantor’s financial obligation may be activated The participant may be restricted from accessing future Government-backed programmes Participants are strongly advised to take this opportunity seriously and commit fully.
