Overview
About this programme
One-year paid placements for 1,500+ graduates across public and private organisations with monthly stipends.
The Nigerian Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) is a Federal Government initiative implemented in Enugu State through the Enugu SME Center and Enugu Jobs, designed to tackle youth unemployment by bridging the gap between academic qualifications and workplace readiness. The program provides students, young graduates with market-relevant skills and places them in 12-month fully paid work placements across both the public and private sectors. Each fellow under the NJFP receives a monthly stipend of #100,000, fully funded by international development partners, allowing them to focus on learning and productivity without financial stress.
In Enugu State, the NJFP has been effectively integrated into the government's human capital development framework. To date, over 500 youth have been placed in government MDAs, while more than 1,000 have been deployed to private sector SMEs across diverse sectors including ICT, health, education, finance, manufacturing, and administration.
These placements offer real-world experience, on-the-job training, and valuable mentorship-positioning fellows for long-term career success.
The program also offers cost-free access to skilled talent for host organizations, contributing to enhanced capacity and performance in both government and business environments. Supported by the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the NJFP contributes to Enugu State's sustainable development priorities and the creation of a robust, future-ready workforce.
