Core Technologies: HTML5, CSS, ReactJS, Vue, and other relevant technologies.
Key Concepts:
▪ Internet & Modern Frontend Development: Understanding of the internet, terminals, HTML/CSS/JS, Web APIs, critical path, PWAs, and patterns & best
practices.
▪ APIs & Data Integration: Knowledge on HTTP verbs & statuses, Fetch API, and  various API types like REST, gRPC, and GraphQL.
▪ Frontend Frameworks: Proficiency in modern frameworks like React and Vue.

The Training is a Hybrid Training Program. There would be Physical Sessions and using a Virtual Community Workspace (Slack) for the non-physical sessions to meet the assigned coursework, assignments, projects, videos provided as part of the curriculum and assessment Physical Sessions for each track (Front-End & Back-End) would be for two (2) days respectively at Amadeo Event Center.
Each Track would be from 10am-3pm for the two (2) days of its Physical Session.

AltSchool Africa Training Programs are structured in three (3) format

i. Application Fee (US$-50/N50,000)- To get into their exclusive program, everyone must pay an Application Fee to take an Exam to be selected to get into their Programs.

ii. School Fees (US$250/N250,000)- Success applicants then pay their school fees to get into the training program (usually 12 months).

iii. Certification Fee (US$100/ N100,000): Successful students pay the certification Fee to graduate the Training program and become Certified.

Total Fees US$400 or N400,000 (Four Hundred Thousand Naira Only). It is important to note their trainings are usually virtual.

The ESAST Program is priced at N100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira Only). This has been subsidized heavily by the Enugu SME Center and its Partners AltSchool Africa and COPEN Academy from the original price of US$400 or N400,000 (Four Hundred Thousand Naira Only).

This is a 75% discount, which is only available under The Enugu SME-AltSchool Training (ESAST) Program

Applicants would go through a two (2) phased assessment system. The First Assessment would be through a scoring model on the Application Form. Applicants that pass this Stage are then given an ALT School Home Kit which contains a coursework and test. Applicants that pass this Home Kit Assessment would be on-boarded into the ESAST Program.

Yes, having a LAPTOP IS MANDATORY to participate in the Program

The training would be for six (6) months with one (1) semester break period

These are for youth that are in the beginning level of the tech journey. They have gotten some experience or skills but need to upgrade to an international standard.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that the training is mostly physical, this might prove a problem. If you can relocate for the six (6) months of the training, that would be great. If not, this opportunity might not be feasible for you

Yes. Your participation would be monitored by ALT School and Enugu SME Center any repeated complaints or non-adherence to the “Rules and Regulations” of the Program would lead to you defaulting on the loan and the Agency calling on the collateral (cheque).

The Physical Training Session will be held at:
Amadeo Event Center- Amadeo Event Center, Beside Elim Plaza by Tunnel Crossing Enugu, Enugu State, Enugu, Nigeria

Successful Applicants that meet the detailed Assessment Process can access the Enugu Human
Capital Development Loan which is a ZERO INTEREST loan geared towards skill acquisition for
Enugu Youths.

Loan Amount: N100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira Only)
Tenor: Twelve (12) Months. This included the Six (6) Months of the Training Equity Contribution for Loan Applicants: 15% of the Loan Value which is N15,000 (Fifteen Thousand Naira Only)
Repayment Schedule: Monthly remita deductions of N7,083.33 (Seven Thousand and Eighty Three Naira, Thirty-Three Kobo) for twelve (12) months totaling N85,000

Loan Interest
Rate: Zero Percent (0%); No Interest
Other Comments The monthly repayment of N7,083.33 amounts to N1,770.83 which is the
price of two (2) beer bottles a week

The successful applicants would be mandated to bring the following:
▪ One (1) Nationally Recognized Identification (either Drivers License, National Passport, voters Card) of the Applicant and Three(3) passport photograph
▪ One (1) Guarantor that would bring the following:
○ One (1) Nationally Recognized Identification (either Driver’s License, National Passport, Voters Card) of the Guarantor and two(2) passport photographs
○ Undated Cheque from CBN recognized Commercial Bank

This is the least invasive collateral instrument for a loan acceptable by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

When the training commences, it is expected to run two (2) times a week for each Track for five (5) hours each, whilst the other days would focused on the coursework, projects, assignment and other deliverables that are important. It is a RIGORUS Training Program.
You must show dedication

If you have successfully passed the rigorous selection phase and chosen for the first cohort and you drop out of the program, it would have been determined you have DEFAULTED on the Training Program and the default terms would kick in as detailed in the Offer Letter as you are still MANDATED to repay your loan facility (if you accessed the Loan) by law. If you paid up front, you shall NOT get a refund.

The top 20 cohorts will be provided with access to jobs (at any level) with startups and other such companies that require their expertise.
